Just a Spoonful of Sugar

Bennett unfortunately had an ear infection in February that never fully cleared up. So, we went back to the pediatrician at the beginning of March, and she prescribed Augmentin, which is stronger than the Amoxicillin he took in February. Matt brought the prescription home, and the pharmacist had flavored the medication with caramel, raspberry and some other weird flavor to try to mask the chalky taste. Ick! Poor Bennett wasn't fooled by their attempt though; taking the medicine was a battle until we let him do it himself. After that, no problems! We just had to give him some treats after taking it to get the yucky taste out of his mouth, and in Bennett's words, "The pharmacist said that I need to eat a little snack." Here are some snapshots of Bennett enjoying some much deserved Gogurt after taking his medicine. Luckily, the Augmentin did the trick and the ear infection is gone!
