Sam and Greg

Aren't good friends the best?  We lucked out again this year and had a visit from our dear, dear friends Sam and Greg, who are responsible for introducing Matt and me nine years ago.  They still live in California and came back to Minnesota for about a week and stayed with us.  We had a blast (as usual) and the time just flew right by; they are already back in sunny California now.  While they were here, we did lots of stuff; here's an abbreviated run-down: took the kids swimming, ate at Sunshine Factory and had AMAZING cheese curds (as good as the State Fair--I'm super excited about this because this restaurant is less than 5 minutes away from our house), ate at Pizza Luce, went to the Twins game and watched them lose but still had tons of fun, Greg and Matt went golfing and Sam and I went shopping, ate at Psycho Suzy's, ate at Ol' Mexico, had a barbecue with Greg's sister and Greg's brother and wife, Sam and Greg spoiled our children with gifts, we ate at Granite City, ate at El Loro, enjoyed lots of time catching up, laughing, and reminiscing, and had FUN, FUN, FUN! A lot of our fun centered around food, didn't it?  :) I miss them already.  A big shout-out to my sister Jenny and brother-in-law Brice for taking the kids Friday afternoon-Sunday morning for us so we could stay out late and golf and shop; you're the greatest!  Thankfully, Sam is really good about always having her camera handy and she took some fantastic pictures; I wouldn't have been able to update the blog without them!  We're hoping to see Sam and Greg again very soon; I'm really, really hoping a visit to California is in the cards for us sooner rather than later.  We love you Sam and Greg!

Such a lovely expression on Bennett's face-funny!
