Easter 2010: Part One

We spent Easter with my family in Rochester this year and had a fantastic time. We got on the road on Friday afternoon, and arrived at my parents' house at about 5:30. We took a quick break to unload at their house and let Bennett run for a few minutes, and then we headed to a local restaurant to meet my brother Brett and his girlfriend, Amber for dinner. My sister Jenny also joined us, and we had a delicious meal together. We tried to get to bed early, which of course didn't happen, but we were awoken by Bennett bright and early on Saturday morning (6:00, to be exact). We relaxed on Saturday morning and finally got around to dyeing eggs, which Bennett was very excited about. He did a nice job and it was great fun! Bennett went down for a long nap on Saturday afternoon, and when he woke up my mom and I took him to run a few errands while Matt and my dad headed over to Brett's place to help him install a much-needed water softener. Once they finished, everyone had pizza together at my mom and dad's. After Bennett went to bed, my mom, Jenny and I got the plastic eggs filled with candy for the egg hunt on Sunday, and I put Bennett's basket together. Stay tuned for Easter 2010: Part Two!
