Well, our little bunny was up at the crack of dawn on Easter morning, and we were actually able to hold off our egg and basket hunt for Bennett until 9:00 thanks to some cartoons and a walk down to the river with Daddy and Papa. Once we started, it went really fast! Bennett collected 40 plastic eggs like it was his job, and he found his basket very quickly, too. My mom had also hidden baskets for Matt and me, Jenny and Brice, and Brett. Why is it that getting an Easter basket never gets old, even when you're in your 30's? After the hunt, we headed over to my aunt Nancy's house for brunch with her crew and my grandparents. We ate and ate, lounged around, hunted for eggs, and ate and ate again. We left Nancy's around 5:00, and headed back to my parents' to pack up and get ready to head home. We left at 6:50, and Bennett was sleeping by 6:55. He slept all the way home, and then made the transfer to his bed effortlessly and slept until about 7:15 on Monday morning. It was an eventful Easter filled with wonderful times with family, good food, and lots of treats and candy.
