Hangin' Around the House

Now that the weather is finally a bit warm and almost all of the snow has melted, we spent a late afternoon in our backyard and driveway with the kiddos.  Emma enjoyed her very first ride in the swing hanging from one of our trees, and she absolutely loved it!  Bennett was thrilled to have an opportunity to push his little sister in the swing, which he was dying to do last summer, but she was just too little then.  I'm sure many more adventures with that swing are just around the corner.  Emma also had her first taste grass, which she didn't seem to mind, but we decided that we don't want that to be part of her diet.  Bennett had fun getting back into his sandbox again and was pretending to be a paleontologist on a dinosaur bone hunt.  Yup;the obsession with all things dinosaur continues.  He also rode around the driveway on his already-way-too-small bike.  The poor kid's knees just barely clear the handle bars.  Let's just say he's grown a tad since last fall when that bike was the perfect size for him.  We're on the lookout for a slightly bigger, used one.  Can anyone say garage sale?  We had a lot of fun, and can't wait for many more late afternoons and evenings just like yesterday's.
